Conformation Client

Winnie and Karma the Boxer (BISS GCH Tiamat’s All About That Base CGN)
"I met Carolyn at a dog show in Toronto where I was showing my boxer Karma in conformation. In her first show, Karma seemed off and was not behaving or moving like her normal self. Carolyn offered to assess her and found that Karma was suffering from a soft tissue injury in one of her shoulders. Carolyn used laser and manual work to loosen up her shoulder and decrease the pain and inflammation. At her next show she handled noticeable much better. She treated her a few more times over that weekend and Karma seemed to be recuperated to her old self and was awarded Best Of Breed in a Boxer Specialty Show and obtained a new title: BISS, all thanks to Carolyn. Puppy Client

Amy and Journey the American Shepherd
"I can't put into words how amazing Carolyn's programs are. I have a five months old american shepherd who will be a future agility dog. We have worked with Carolyn over the past couple of months. We started with a plank class that was super beneficial for teaching a young puppy how to balance herself properly but not in a strenuous way. We work with the plank three times a week and she loves every second, I love how it works both her mind and muscles. I have also taken Journey to Carolyn many times for muscle soreness as puppies do silly things, within minutes of treatment I see a drastic improvement and she leaves as a happy puppy! We have a treatment plan in place and it is so easy to follow and I notice a difference every time I complete it. Currently we are in a conditioning class and it is going great! One of my favourite parts is that Carolyn has so many different levels for each exercise from puppy to advanced. I would highly recommend all of her services and can't wait to continue to work with her over the course of Journey's life."

Agility Client

Candice and Nija the Boston Terrier
"Nija, a 9.5yr old Boston Terrier, had a back injury early on in life that left her with chronic mid-back and shoulder issues, so I've taken any signs of aches and pains pretty seriously. I was very concerned after Nija fell off the dog walk and dropped a bar at an agility trial, both of which were very uncharacteristic of her and of course I was pretty worried in light of her previous injuries. I booked an appointment with Carolyn the following week, in which she identified why Njia was having trouble moving the way she usually does. Then she used laser, joint mobilizations, and stretching to help get Njia moving well again and to decrease her pain. She looked immediately better right after the treatment and continued to improve over the course of the week. The very next weekend, we were at a trial which was the last chance to qualify for UKI Nationals. Given how she ran the last weekend, I was apprehensive, but thanks to Carolyn's treatment, she ran great and qualified for Nationals, also winning a few dollars and some great treats! I would highly recommend McIntyre Canine Rehabilitation and Nija will definitely continue to see Carolyn in the future to help her stay as active and playing the sport she loves, for as long as possible."

Conditioning Class and Agility Client

Holly and Zippy the Sheltie
"Approximately 6 months ago our little sheltie, Zippy, was not jumping or weaving in agility. She loves to do agility so we knew something was wrong. We asked Carolyn to have a look at her.
Carolyn knew almost immediately what was wrong with Zippy. She massaged her right shoulder joint and followed up with laser treatment . We left with instructions as to what we could and could not do as well as some canine conditioning exercises. Over the past 6 months Carolyn has continued to asses Zippy and modify her exercises and level of activity. I’m happy to report that Zip is back to her old self and pulling on the leash to get to the agility equipment.
I have also had the pleasure to participate in Carolyn’s canine conditioning classes/workshops with my boy Bristol. He loves to do the conditioning exercises and I have noticed a difference in his jumping ability. Not only is he having fun do all the exercises, it’s good for him and me! It has built a great bond between us. All my dogs love Carolyn and love to see her come over....they know good things come from her and they will soon feel better."

Dock Diving Client
Sarah and Ferris, the Australian Shepherd
"Ferris and I have attended seminars and classes held by McIntyre Canine Rehabilitation in order to stay on our game for competitive Dock Diving. He competes quite regularly and it's very important to keep his core strength up and all of his joints and muscles in good working order! The seminars and classes have been excellent and we now have numerous practical exercises to work on at home. Everything Carolyn does is easy to comprehend and teach the dogs. Ferris has also had treatments by Carolyn following a tough Canadian Championships weekend for some tired muscles. He absolutely loves seeing her and stands like a good boy for anything she does! Carolyn has a wonderful way with the dogs and extremely knowledgeable in her field. We will continue to work with McIntyre Canine Rehabilitation so that Ferris is in peak form for next season! Our personal best is 20' but with proper canine conditioning I'm confident we can increase that!"

Baseline Sporting Dog Assessment Client
Cheryl and Trinity the Australian Shepherd
"Because of how demanding agility can be, I wanted a full assessment performed on my high drive Australian Shepherd, Trinity. I felt it essential to obtain a baseline from which to compare to in the future. Trinity is extremely stoic and would work until her last breath, so I knew it was very important to understand what her “normal” was. Being proactive will keep her healthy and able to play in our chosen sport for a long time.
I had been to a couple of canine rehabilitation professionals in southern Ontario over the past couple of years requesting an assessment, but did not come away with the information that I was looking for. Carolyn provided a written detailed, scientific assessment and recommendations for my dog from her physical and video analysis. She reviewed her gaiting, offloading, hip and shoulder extensions, stride length, as well as other assessments, including measurements and balance tests. I was very impressed with the thoroughness of her report which has now become Trinity’s baseline. I highly recommend MCR’s Baseline Sporting Dog Assessment for anyone who is serious about their dogsport."
