Testimonials

Elaine Welbourn and Ryder the Sheltie
“MCR is the best of the best when it comes to canine physio and rehabilitation needs. It was well worth the 3-hours (one-way) trip to see Carolyn when I had concerns about my Agility dog short-striding on one of his back legs. More than one vet had already told me there was "nothing there" and that I was"imagining it", but I knew they were wrong. Carolyn saw the issue right away, and was able to diagnose the cause quickly and effectively, putting my mind at ease. She spoke clearly and effectively, explaining each part of the appointment so that I felt completely comfortable, and encouraged me to let her know if I sensed the dog needed a short break to take a little walk around. I never felt rushed in any way, as I have by other health care providers in the past. Carolyn also recommended exercises and stretches I could perform at home with the dog to help prevent the same issue, or future issues. Five stars isn't enough for the treatment my dog and I received!”

Stacey MacMillan and Max the Golden Retriever
“I reached out to Carolyn to see if she could help my 6-year-old Golden Retriever, Max who was diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia. Recently, I started to notice the daily wear on Max. He stopped running and climbing stairs, was labored on long walks and no longer laid at my feet. I reached out to Carolyn and instantly it was like she felt my pain for Max. Since starting with Carolyn, Max has made leaps and bounds towards being a much healthier happier dog due to the exercises that Carolyn has provided, along with the massage, laser and her physio techniques. Without the knowledge and expertise of Carolyn I would not have my dog back to the way he used to be. He has progressed so well and is back to a puppy state of being extremely mischievous- which I am so thankful for”.

Candice and Nija the Boston Terrier
"Nija, a 9.5yr old Boston Terrier, had a back injury early on in life that left her with chronic mid-back and shoulder issues. I was very concerned after Nija fell off the dog walk and dropped a bar at an agility trial, both of which were very uncharacteristic of her. I met with Carolyn and she identified exactly what was wrong with Nija. Following her treatment, she looked immediately better and continued to improve over the weekend with daily treatment. Thanks to Carolyn's treatment, she ran great for the rest of the weekend and qualified for Nationals. I would highly recommend McIntyre Canine Rehabilitation to help keep your dog as active and playing the sports they love for as long as possible.”

Cheryl and Trinity the Australian Shepherd
“Because of how demanding agility can be, I wanted a full assessment performed on my high drive Australian Shepherd, Trinity. I had been to a couple of canine rehabilitation professionals in southern Ontario over the past couple of years requesting an assessment, but did not come away with the information that I was looking for.  Carolyn provided a very detailed assessment and made specific recommendations based on my dog’s physical assessment and video analysis. I was very impressed with the thoroughness of her report which has now become Trinity’s baseline.  I highly recommend MCR’s Baseline Sporting Dog Assessment for anyone who is serious about dog sports.”

Holly and Zippy the Sheltie
"Approximately 6 months ago our little sheltie, Zippy, was not jumping or weaving in agility. She loves to do agility so we knew something was wrong. Following an assessment with Carolyn, we had finally found an answer to her problem.  Carolyn provided various hands on treatment and we left with instructions as to what we could and could not do as well as some canine conditioning exercises. Over the past 6 months Carolyn continued to provide treatment to Zippy and progress her exercises and return to sport activity. I’m happy to report that Zip is back to her old self and pulling on the leash to get to the agility equipment.

Gabriela Almeida and Ziv the Border Collie
“I was searching for a way to help my agility heart dog Ziv improve his physical abilities and prevent new injuries since he had just came out of two recent injuries. Our experiences with local rehab here in Brazil weren’t the best so learning that McIntyre Canine Rehabilitation offered online consults was just perfect for me. Following our online consult with Carolyn, we started to apply all the exercises to our routine and it has been amazing!! Ziv has become a much stronger dog and has not had any injuries since working with Carolyn. I am pleased to report that Ziv made the National Agility Team and will travelling to the AWC World Agility Competition in Finland. Thank you Carolyn!!”
